Decision:

Cllr Peter Pilkington (Portfolio Holder for Climate Change) has decided to award a revised grant to the following organisation, for the installation of an electric vehicle community charge point:

 

Trull Parish Council – £1,500                   

 

A decision to award Trull Parish Council £1,000 was made in November 2019. Trull were unfortunately unable to secure a central government workplace grant of £1000, so have requested an additional £500 from the EVCP scheme. This award will be the maximum amount allowable

 

The application will be funded from a dedicated one-off sum of £20,000 in the 2019/20 budget, set aside by the Council to support the installation of electric vehicle community charge points. .

To approve policy updates to the Local Newspaper Discount, Retail Discount and the application of a new pub discount following changes announced by government on 27 January 2020.

 

Existing Local Newspaper Relief extended until 31 March 2025

 

Existing Retail Relief Discount increased from one third to 50% with effect from 1 April 2020 until 31 March 2021

 

A new Pub Discount scheme of £1,000 created for qualifying pubs with a rateable value of less than £100,000 for 2020/21

 

 

We already have provision for Local Newspaper Discount, Retail Discount and Pub Relief in our existing policy, this document is to agree to amend the dates of the award periods and the amounts in accordance with new guidance.
