Decision details

Cllr Peter Pilkington (Portfolio Holder for Climate Change) has decided to award grants to the following organisations, for the installation of electric vehicle community charge points:

Trull Parish Council – £1000              

Brushford Parish Hall CIO– £675

Luxborough Field and Village Hall Charity - £970

The applications will be funded from a dedicated one-off sum of £20,000 in the 2019/20 budget, set aside by the Council to support the installation of electric vehicle community charge points.

Reasons for proposed decision: 

The applications support community led action to tackle the climate emergency and are in line with the Council’s declared ambition to work towards a carbon neutral district by 2030.

Alternative funding options sourced:

The Council’s contribution is sourced from a budget specifically allocated for this purpose.
